Plantation Elementary School, 651 N. W. 42nd Ave., Plantation. Fox Trail Elementary School, 1250 Nob Hill Rd., in Davie. Rock Island Elementary and Arthur Ashe Middle School, 1701 NW 23rd Ave., in Fort Lauderdale. Everglades High School, 17100 SW 52 Ave., in Miramar. To be accepted at the shelter, pet owners must have documentation to show the pets are up-to-date on rabies vaccination and licensing. The pets must be crated and pet owners cannot stay with the animals. Service animals are permitted at all shelters so long as the pet meets the requirements under federal law.
