Oprah Winfrey beat Donald Trump by 10 points in a new survey that asked who voters would choose for president in 2020. According to a Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey, 48% of likely United States voters would cast their vote for Winfrey, and 38% would opt for the current commander-in-chief. 14%, however, were undecided.
Of those 1,000 surveyed, 76% of Democrats, 22% of Republicans and 44% of unaffiliated voters supported Winfrey, and 55% of all voters viewed her favorably.
Talk of Winfrey running in 2020 was spurred on by a rousing speech the media mogul gave Sunday night at the Golden Globe Awards. In the days since, speculation has been swirling.
However, Oprah has said as recently as three months ago that she will never run for political office.
