Once again, Idol puts me in my feels, and another two contestants were eliminated........And yes, ya boy is NOT happy about it. But as per usual, let’s talk about the standouts of the night. Carrie Underwood mentored the top 7 this week, and she totally reminded us why she won back in 2005. Here’s her performing her new single “Cry Pretty.”

Now as far as the contestants, they all had to sing songs for their mothers day tribute and under the repertoire of Carrie Underwood. And sadly (or gladly), no one sang “Before He Cheats.”

1. Michael J. Woodard opens the show and gave us life with his rendition of “Flat on The Floor” The man can LITERALLY sing anything.

2. Gabby Barrett sang “I Who Have Nothing” ...And honestly, I haven’t been the biggest fan of her, but I can appreciate her for trying a Whitney song lolol.

3. Cade Foehner “Simple Man” was straaaaaight 70’s/80’s VIBES and he rocked it out. Judges loved it...American didn’t.

GUYS, I’m livid....Every. Single. Week. My faves are constantly taken out and I DONT GET IT!!! After America’s final vote.......Gabby Barret, Maddie Poppe, and Caleb Lee Hutchinson are your final 3.....WHAT!!!! They’re all literally country/folk singers. That means Cade and Michael were eliminated and honestly, I don’t care who wins it at this point....But I’ll stay watching...For the culture. Did your fave make it through?
