How You Can Help End Hunger in Our Community

Easy ways to help during Hunger Action Month

According to Feeding South Florida, South Florida’s main food bank, approximately one million individuals locally face hunger and have no idea where their next meal is coming from. This includes nearly 500,000 children and seniors.

Food shouldn’t be an impossible choice.

Feeding South Florida works to make food available and accessible to those who need it most.

Cox Media Group asks you to join us during Hunger Action Month to take a stand against hunger by sharing, volunteering, donating, fundraising, and other actions to draw attention to this critical issue.

Join Cox Media Group at Feeding South Florida’s ‘Outrun Hunger 5k’ on September 24th. This is the 3rd 5k of the year. Following Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, Feeding South Florida heads to Palm Beach County for the 5k at Okeeheelee Park, 7715 Forest Hills Blvd, West Palm Beach. Get all the details and register here.

With Feeding South Florida’s efficiency, and partnerships with local farmers, they’re able to provide 9 meals for every $1.00 donated.

In addition to donating, you can help by volunteering, hosting a food drive, or helping to sort foods. Here are a number of ways to support Feeding South Florida during Hunger Action Month.
