Coronavirus: Antonio Banderas reveals positive test result on birthday

Spanish actor, Antonio Banderas revealed on his 60th birthday that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

In a tweet Monday morning, Banderas said that he will be celebrating his 60th birthday in quarantine after he tested positive for the virus.

“I want to make public that today, August 10, I am forced to celebrate my 60th birthday continuing quarantine after having tested positive for the COVID-19 disease, caused by the coronavirus,” the actor tweeted Monday.

He added that he is tired but thinks he will recover quickly.

“I would like to add that I am relatively well, just a little bit more tired than usual and confident that I will recover as soon as possible following the medical indications, which I hope will allow me to overcome the infection that is affecting people around the planet,” and added that he will “take advantage of this isolation to read, write and rest.”

While it’s not clear where Banderas will be quarantining, he typically spends most of his time in Surrey, England, according to Sky News.
