In a Facebook post, the Roanoke Police Department shared pictures of the dog inside Byron Nelson High School.

Officers said the dog followed some students from a neighborhood nearby before walking into the school, CBS News reported.

One of the comments on the department’s post says, “I watched him while in the line driving to school. He was having the time of his life running up to every kid to say hi and following all the kids to the high school.”

The dog was taken to Trophy Club Animal Control. In an email, a spokesperson for the Roanoke Police Department said that the dog is not microchipped, and nobody has come forward to claim him.

Animal control officers said the dog is doing very well and “just wanting to play non-stop,” police said in their email.
