AJ McLean Pays Tribute to Tim Curry After His Death at 80!

AJ McLean is remembering one of his childhood idols, Tim Curry, following his passing at 80 years old.

AJ posted a video of himself performing “Sweet Transvestite,” the song Curry made iconic as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. AJ had performed the number while touring with Joey Fatone as part of a celebration of Pride, and following Curry’s passing, he chose to share that performance in his honor.

In his emotional tribute, AJ shared how much Curry meant to him growing up, mentioning Legend, Clue, Home Alone 2 and, of course, Rocky Horror. He also reflected on getting the chance to meet his idol years ago, remembering Curry as “kind, funny and full of life.”

Tim Curry was truly one of a kind. From his unforgettable voice to the characters he brought to life, his work influenced generations of performers and fans, including AJ. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue long after his passing.

And in that spirit, I have to say it: AJ McLean as Dr. Frank-N-Furter one day? I think Tim would appreciate someone keeping that theatrical spirit alive.
