If you’ve been looking for an excuse to get outside without spending money, here you go!
On Tuesday, August 25, U.S. citizens and residents can visit National Park Service sites that normally charge admission for FREE as part of National Park Week.
And yes, that includes some Florida favorites. Everglades National Park, which normally costs $35 per vehicle, will waive its entrance fee. Dry Tortugas National Park, Canaveral National Seashore, Castillo de San Marcos and select areas of Gulf Islands National Seashore are also included.
Just remember, “free” applies to the entrance fee. Things like camping, reservations, ferries, boat tours and special permits can still cost extra. So if you’ve been saying you need to get out of the house, Mother Nature just removed one of your excuses. 😂
