A bride named Emma is going viral after sharing the painfully awkward moment her husband called her the wrong name while saying his vows. And not just any wrong name. He called her Emily...which happens to be her sister’s name.
The wedding took place in Brisbane, Australia, and the video has racked up millions of views on TikTok. Naturally, people immediately compared it to the infamous Friends moment when Ross said Rachel’s name while marrying Emily.
But Emma seems to be taking the whole thing much better than the internet. She explained that her sister is her best friend and said she’d probably have more questions if her husband had blurted out some completely random woman’s name.
Fair enough.
Still, accidentally calling your bride by her sister’s name at the altar is the kind of mistake that gets brought up at every family Thanksgiving for the next 40 years.
