Jade’s Juice: Knaus Berry Farm Is Back, Pokémon Happy Meals Are Coming and Domino Park Gets a Makeov

A Very Miami Sports Weekend

South Florida sports gave us a little bit of everything this weekend.

The Miami Hurricanes crushed Clemson 41 to 13, while the Miami Heat rolled past the Toronto Raptors 129 to 105 in their first preseason game.

And then there are the Miami Dolphins.

They lost 15 to 10, dropping them to 0 and 4.

Canes win. Heat win.

Dolphins.

We’re off to a great start.

Knaus Berry Farm Is Back With Some New Rules

It’s almost cinnamon roll season.

Knaus Berry Farm opens October 13, and they’re making a few changes this year in hopes of speeding up those famously long lines.

For starters, you can now preorder online.

They’re also accepting credit cards, which feels like a pretty monumental development for anyone who has ever gotten all the way there and realized they needed cash.

And there’s now a limit of four dozen cinnamon rolls per person.

Forty eight cinnamon rolls.

And if you’re upset that you can’t personally purchase more than 48 cinnamon rolls at once, I have several follow up questions.

Domino Park Is Getting a $2 Million Makeover

It is one of the most authentic sights and sounds of Little Havana.

Domino Park is getting a $2 million renovation after years of wear, leaks, flooding and other issues.

The park has become an institution on Calle Ocho, especially for longtime residents and retirees who gather there to play dominoes and socialize.

Officials say the park will receive a full remodel, but the design will remain similar to what exists today in an effort to preserve its cultural identity.

And that last part is important.

Fix the leaks. Fix the flooding. Make it safer.

Just don’t take away the abuelos, dominoes and everything that makes Domino Park feel like Domino Park.

Pokémon Is Taking Over Happy Meals

Happy Meals could suddenly become one of the hottest items at McDonald’s.

Starting November 5, Happy Meals are expected to come with special Pokémon Trading Card Game packs as part of a limited promotion.

And if previous Pokémon promotions are any indication, there’s a pretty good chance some adults are going to be buying Happy Meals with absolutely no children involved.

The promotion is expected to feature 15 different cards to collect.

Hopefully people actually eat or donate the food that comes with them instead of buying a pile of Happy Meals just for the cards.

Because nothing says childhood nostalgia quite like a secondary resale market.

Caitlin Clark Has Her Own Nike Shoe

Instead of just wearing regular kicks, you can now wear Clarks.

Caitlin Clarks.

Caitlin Clark’s Nike Caitlin 1 is officially available online, complete with plenty of personal touches.

There’s a double Nike Swoosh designed to resemble Caitlin’s initials, her signature appears on the back and her number 22 is featured on top.

The shoes come in blue and yellow, with prices ranging from around $100 to $150 depending on whether you’re shopping for little kids, big kids or tax paying adults.

Jonathan Bailey Made Dracula Surprisingly Steamy

There are certain stories you expect to find on Entertainment Tonight.

This one might make you double check what website you accidentally opened.

Bridgerton and Wicked star Jonathan Bailey voices Dracula in a new audiobook, and behind the scenes footage of him recording the performance is getting quite a reaction online.

And he’s apparently very committed to the role.

Bailey even created his own sound effects, including the noises Dracula makes while drinking blood.

He says all those years he spent as a kid alone in his room making weird noises have finally become professionally useful.

So parents, the next time your kid is making bizarre noises alone in their bedroom, don’t stop them.

Apparently they’re building a résumé.
