Key Biscayne Has a Bacteria Problem
A beach day in Key Biscayne looked a little different this weekend because there are some places where you definitely do NOT want to get in the water.
Crandon Park North is currently dealing with elevated bacteria levels in the water, meaning swimming is off limits there until further notice.
Apparently, this bacteria loves warm, salty conditions, so naturally it looked at South Florida and said, “Oh, this is perfect.”
But here’s my question: Is there an invisible boundary line underwater? Does the bacteria swim up to a certain point and go, “Nope, that’s Crandon Park South. We don’t have jurisdiction over there”?
Either way, maybe keep your beach day on the sand until officials give the all clear.
Miss Virginia Just Made Miss USA History
Remember Miss Virginia, Justus Kelly, who arrived in South Florida for the Miss USA pageant carrying her belongings in a trash bag?
It was intentional. She wanted to bring attention to the reality that many foster children are forced to carry their belongings in garbage bags as they move from home to home.
Well, she didn’t just make a statement.
She made history.
Kelly won Miss USA, becoming the first married woman and mother to win the competition.
She’ll now represent the United States at the Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico this November.
A crown, a cause and a little history all at once.
Barefoot High Heels Are Apparently a Thing Now
Ladies, somebody has finally invented a solution to a problem I’m not entirely convinced anybody had.
Barefoot heels.
They’re designed for women who want the look of high heels while also basically being barefoot.
There’s a heel underneath the back of your foot, but underneath the arch it drops away, leaving the ball of your foot touching the actual ground.
So essentially it’s the high fashion version of wearing a pair of sneakers until you’ve got a hole through the bottom.
Those shoes better come with a complimentary tetanus shot.
Anne Hathaway Apparently Doesn’t Believe in Taking Time Off
Anne Hathaway has already made five movies and a baby this year.
And she hasn’t even given birth yet.
But apparently that’s still not enough because she’s already lined up another project, this time alongside a superstar who is about as technologically gifted as I am.
Tom Cruise is reportedly returning as NASCAR star Cole Trickle, with Hathaway set to play an engineer and team owner.
So Anne Hathaway’s schedule currently includes movies, motherhood and NASCAR.
Meanwhile, some days I feel accomplished because I remembered to move the laundry into the dryer.
Donna Mills Is 85 and Making Six Figures on OnlyFans
Donna Mills is 85, looks incredible and has apparently decided retirement sounds boring.
The former Knots Landing star has joined OnlyFans.
And according to Mills, after just about a month on the platform, she’s already made what she described as “many six figures.”
Before your imagination gets too carried away, Mills says there’s no nudity or explicit content. But she also admits she isn’t exactly shy about posting sensual and suggestive material.
In one video, Mills reminds viewers that while she may be an older woman now, she’s apparently still VERY limber.

Olivia Rodrigo’s First Festival Raised $20 Million
Olivia Rodrigo’s first ever Daisy Chain Fields Festival wasn’t just a big music event. It raised some serious money for a good cause.
The festival raised $10 million on site, with Melinda Gates matching that amount to bring the total to $20 million for nonprofits focused on women.
And one of the most memorable moments of the festival came when Rodrigo was joined by Sarah McLachlan.
The two performed McLachlan’s classic “Angel” together and dedicated the performance to Dolly Parton.
Twenty million dollars raised and a tribute to Dolly?
That’s a pretty impressive first festival.
