Jade’s Juice: Plane Superstitions, Fantasy Football Girls Night and Batman Is Feeling His Age

Do You Touch the Plane Before You Get On?

What’s the first thing you do when you board a plane?

Apparently, a lot of people have a little pre-flight ritual, and one of the most common is touching the outside of the airplane before stepping inside.

For some travelers, it’s basically a good luck charm. For others, it’s a silent prayer or just something that makes them feel a little more secure before getting 35,000 feet into the air.

I bring a rosary.

And my other security blanket is that cocktail I have before boarding so I can hopefully fall asleep and wake up in another city.

We all cope differently.

Girls Night Has Entered Its Fantasy Football Era

Ladies, book clubs and drinks on a random Wednesday night aren’t going anywhere.

But there’s another girls night gaining serious ground: women-only fantasy football leagues.

Women are increasingly getting into fantasy football, and some of these leagues are turning draft day into an EVENT.

We’re talking friendship bracelets, tiaras for the winners, plenty of trash talking and even integrity contracts where members promise they’re not secretly getting lineup advice from their husbands or boyfriends.

And these aren’t leagues where everyone forgets to set their lineup by Week 4. They’re competitive and they’re playing the entire season.

So yes, girls night now includes arguing over waiver-wire pickups.

Forget Tailgating. We’re Homegating Now.

Welcome to the 2026 football season, where apparently some fans have decided the parking lot is overrated.

Homegating is becoming the alternative to traditional tailgating.

Same idea. Friends, football, food and drinks.

Except you’re doing it from the comfort of your own home.

There’s air conditioning. Your bathroom is 15 feet away. Nobody is trying to grill a hamburger on the pavement, and you don’t have to spend two hours getting out of a stadium parking lot afterward.

I’m sorry, but homegating may have solved football.

There’s a Dancing Problem, So Naturally Kevin Bacon Has Arrived

It seems like whenever there’s a controversy involving dancing, America has one man we know we can call.

Kevin Bacon.

The Footloose star recently joined the governor of New York to discuss an issue involving dancing.

And really, that’s where the information I have ends.

But if there’s a dancing problem and Kevin Bacon has shown up, I’m assuming somebody eventually kicks off their Sunday shoes.

Batman Is Starting to Feel Those Fight Scenes

Robert Pattinson is excited to put the Batman suit back on.

His body?

Maybe slightly less excited.

Pattinson is preparing for his second Batman movie and says he’s looking forward to reuniting with returning cast members and working with some of the new additions.

But there’s one small issue.

It’s been about five years since he filmed his last Batman fight scenes.

Pattinson is now 40 and says doing this stuff definitely feels harder than it did when he was 35.

Welcome to your 40s, Batman.

Forget the utility belt. Bruce Wayne’s about to start carrying Advil.
