Turns out all those practices, games and losses might be doing more than building athletic skills.
A new report finds women who played sports when they were younger are more likely to become leaders in the workplace.
And the reasons actually make a lot of sense. Sports teach you to keep showing up, work as a team, communicate, deal with setbacks and keep trying to get a little better every day.
You win. You lose. You have great days. You have terrible days. And you learn how to come back and do it again.
Sounds a lot like having a job, honestly.
Swifties Found More Taylor Swift Easter Eggs
We already learned that Mariska Hargitay took singing lessons before hosting the Emmys, but now Swifties are dissecting her skit with Taylor Swift for possible Easter eggs.
One theory revolves around Aries. There are 12 zodiac signs, Aries is the first, and Taylor has 12 albums with her self-titled debut being number one. Fans also noticed a “From the Vineyard” reference and immediately connected it to Taylor’s famous “From the Vault” releases.
So naturally, some Swifties believe this could be teasing Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version) and possibly even an announcement during Aries season, March 20 through April 19.
Another theory? The ram symbol for Aries could somehow be connected to the Los Angeles Rams.
At this point, Taylor could sneeze 13 times and somebody would have a 40-slide PowerPoint explaining what it means.
The PB&J Turns 125
Take a moment to respect the king of school lunches.
The peanut butter and jelly sandwich turns 125 years old this year.
Today we think of the PB&J as one of the easiest and cheapest lunches imaginable, but it actually started out as something much fancier: a tea sandwich enjoyed by wealthier Americans.
Eventually peanut butter and jelly became more affordable and accessible, and the PB&J became the lunchbox legend we know today.
Of course, we’ve also spent 125 years finding increasingly unhinged things to add to it, including potato chips, bacon, pickles, jalapeño jam and marshmallow fluff.

We Have Officially Reached Pumpkin Spice Caskets
Remember when pumpkin spice Mylanta felt like proof we had taken the pumpkin spice obsession too far?
Apparently we weren’t even close.
You can now spend eternity celebrating your favorite season with a pumpkin spice casket.
They cost $1,599 and feature an orangish exterior with a white interior.
Before you get too excited, it doesn’t actually smell like pumpkin spice. There aren’t little pumpkins all over it. There’s no cinnamon scent.

American Idol Is Leaving Hollywood
American Idol is trading Hollywood for Atlanta.
The show is reportedly moving production to Georgia, where a major incentive is the state’s roughly 30% tax credit for qualifying film and television productions.
And when you’re talking about millions of dollars to produce a show like American Idol, 30% starts looking pretty attractive.
The bigger question is Ryan Seacrest.
The man already has approximately 47 jobs. Now are we adding regular trips to Atlanta to the schedule?

Knaus Berry Farm Is Coming Back
South Florida, prepare yourselves. Cinnamon roll season is almost here.
Knaus Berry Farm is scheduled to reopen Tuesday, October 13, bringing back the fresh produce, milkshakes and those famous sticky cinnamon rolls that people willingly stand in very long lines to get.
And there’s another important update for anyone who hasn’t visited recently: Knaus Berry Farm now takes credit cards.
The farm will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
So mark October 13 on the calendar and prepare to tell yourself, “The line probably isn’t THAT bad,” right before spending half your morning waiting for cinnamon rolls.
