Martica Lopez Dresses as Oscar from Happy Gilmore 2 at Bad Bunny’s Residency!

This past weekend, I was in Puerto Rico for Bad Bunny’s residency “No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí‚" which translates to “I Don’t Want to Leave Here,” at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum of Puerto Rico, affectionately known as “El Choli,” and it was absolutely wild. My best friend and I had planned ahead to dress up as Oscar from the movie Happy Gilmore 2. We made the costumes ourselves from scratch, since nothing like this exists online and we had no idea the reaction we were about to get.

Before the concert even started, there was a party outside the venue with DJs, vendors, and all kinds of activations. Inside “El Choli,” the energy was just as crazy. We started dancing and just having fun, vibing to the music, and fans began gathering around us, taking photos and videos. You’re probably thinking that we planned this out but WE DIDN’T. The only thing we planned was our costumes, everything else happened organically. The videos that went viral online made it look like we had choreographed everything but the things that transpired was completely out of our control. I guess our energy caught on, made people join in, and it turned into an unforgettable night.

Walking into El Coliseo de Puerto Rico, or El Choli as the locals call it, you immediately feel like you are stepping into Bad Bunny’s world. The setup is unreal. On one side, there is a massive mountain that looks like it was lifted straight out of El Yunque, and on the other, a pink casita that feels like it could belong to your favorite tía. The house is not just for show. Bad Bunny performs all over it, from the porch to the roof, giving the whole arena a real “party at home” vibe. The staging is pure Puerto Rican pride, and it makes the residency feel like more than just a concert. It is an experience that takes you straight to the heart of the island.

Night 19 took that energy even higher when Ivy Queen appeared as the special guest. The moment she stepped on stage, the crowd went wild, and the energy inside El Choli was electric. Bad Bunny’s “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” album inspired this entire residency, and every night is a celebration of Puerto Rico’s music, culture, and icons. Night 19 proved it. This is not just a concert series. It is a love letter to the island.

It reminded me that the best moments are the ones you do not plan. We came for the residency, dressed up, and ended up making memories that will last forever.
