If that international trip is still sitting in the group chat because somebody doesn’t have a passport, here’s your chance to finally fix that.
Florida Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar and her team are bringing back their passport fair to Miami-Dade College’s Wolfson Campus on Thursday, August 27.
The fair will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Building 1, Room 2106, where passport agents will be available to help people through the application process. Passport photos will also be available at the event.
If you’re planning to go, you’ll want to bring a completed DS-11 form if you’re a first-time applicant, although forms will also be available on-site. You’ll also need proof of U.S. citizenship, such as a birth certificate, expired U.S. passport or naturalization certificate, along with a valid government-issued photo ID and a 2-by-2-inch passport photo.
You’ll also need payment for the applicable passport fees by check or money order made payable to the U.S. Department of State. The cost will vary depending on your age and whether you’re applying for a passport book or card.
Basically, get the paperwork together now so Future You can actually leave the country.
