Pokémon Is Coming Back to McDonald’s Happy Meals This November

Pokémon cards are reportedly coming back to McDonald’s Happy Meals, so prepare for grown adults to suddenly become very interested in what toy comes with their four-piece McNuggets.

According to PokéBeach, McDonald’s is planning a Pokémon Trading Card Game promotion from November 5 through December 9 in the U.S.

The promotion is expected to feature 15 different Pokémon cards, although we don’t know which Pokémon will make the cut yet.

In previous McDonald’s promotions, the cards have come in four-card packs containing one special holo card and three non-holo cards.

This time around, customers are also expected to have a choice between a Pokémon toy or a Pokémon Essential Handbook. There’s also a possibility the toy could be some kind of card display, but that hasn’t been confirmed.

And if you’re wondering whether people actually get that excited about Pokémon cards in Happy Meals, last year’s promotion in Japan featuring a special Pikachu card reportedly sold out in less than a day and caused absolute chaos.

So come November, don’t be surprised if the person in front of you at the McDonald’s drive-thru is ordering six Happy Meals.

And has absolutely no children in the car.
