If you've felt anxious or depressed in the last year, you're not alone. More than 1/4 of American adults and at least 10% of youth have reported experiencing major depression. Most do not get help. During Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to remove the stigma associated with seeking help. We're providing resources for you to speak with peers or professionals who can share experiences and offer guidance for coping. It's okay to not feel okay.

Did you know that pets are good for humans? They offer unconditional love; help reduce our blood pressure; give us a reason to get out and walk; and improve our mental health. Experience all the benefits of being a Pet Parent. Check out our Furry Friend of the Week at the Humane Society of Broward County!
