Dishin’ the Dirt:  The Miami Dolphins Just Laid Down the Law...

Alright Luvies..with just about a week ‘til players have to report for Training Camp, the Miami Dolphins Organization decided to drop the hammer on players who may have been considering “taking a knee” during the National Anthem this upcoming season....

According to our sources at the AP it seems that the team handed out a 9-page "discipline" document recently, which included one sentence on "Proper Anthem Conduct"!

That one sentence carries a lot of weight though, as it states that ANY player that chooses to take a knee while on  the field or sideline for the National Anthem could be SUSPENDED for up to 4 games (with or without pay).

This comes after NFL officials decided back in May that while players can choose to stay in the locker room during the “Star Spangled Banner” if they do decided to be on the field or side-lines during the playing of the National Anthem that they are REQUIRED to STAND!  If players choose to kneel then the teams will be fined by the League!

It’s interesting to note that NO OTHER NFL team has released it’s specific policy on player conduct during the NAtional Anthem or subsequent punishments should they decide to violate Team or League Policy.

And, in case you were wondering, YES....the new league rules are being challenged by the players union.

Something tells me this conversation is nowhere near OVER...

PS...there’s been no “official” comment from the NFL or the Dolphins
