After Drake joined Karol G onstage during her Viajando Por El Mundo TropiTour in Houston, Bruno reacted to the viral videos by joking that Drake was dancing with his “Latina crush” and that he needed to “get her back.”
Then, on October 1, Bruno released the “Dance With Me” music video, starring Karol G as his love interest. The romantic video has Bruno trying to win her over, complete with a payphone call and a serenade beneath her balcony.
And I have to give them credit for the marketing. They had us questioning what was going on before we even knew there was something to promote.
Watch my video below for the full Bruno Mars, Karol G and Drake story and my reaction to “Dance With Me.”
@marthamarialopeztv Now Bruno Mars’ post about Karol G dancing with Drake makes sense. 👀 After Drake surprised Karol G during her Viajando Por El Mundo TropiTour in Houston, Bruno jokingly posted that he needed to “get her back.” Today, Bruno dropped the “Dance With Me” music video starring Karol G, where he calls her from a payphone, shows up with a band to serenade her under her balcony and eventually gets his girl. The yearning? Chef’s kiss. And now the Drake post and Bruno saying he needed to get Karol back all make sense. They had everybody invested before we even knew what they were promoting. So smart. What did you think of Bruno Mars and Karol G in the “Dance With Me” music video? Did they fool you with the whole Drake storyline? And do you think Bruno and Karol have something going on behind the scenes? 👀 Let me know what your thoughts are in the comments below. As always, I will definitely do the same.
