Dolly Parton really did work right up until her final days.
Fans are now getting to see some of the projects she completed near the end of her life, including a new commercial that Dolly filmed in July for her Cup of Ambition coffee line.
The coffee officially launched for National Coffee Day, and in the new ad, Dolly pours herself a cup, sits down at a vanity, plays guitar and touches up her makeup while an animated version of her appears in the mirror. And, of course, “9 to 5” plays in the background.
Cup of Ambition comes in light, medium and dark roasts, with 12-ounce bags of grounds and packs of 10 K-Cups selling for $12.99 each.
And Dolly was still working on more than coffee.
Her new museum has also officially opened on the third floor of the SongTeller Hotel in Nashville. It’s described as the largest exhibit dedicated to her life and includes personal pieces like her wedding dress, along with her final officially recorded concert.
It’s another reminder of just how much Dolly continued creating and working right up until the end.
Apparently when Dolly sang “9 to 5,” she really meant it.
