This Miami Woman Is Making Sure Every Child Gets a Birthday Celebration

A South Florida woman is making birthdays a little brighter for families who are struggling financially.

Tiffany Yearty, founder of Birthday Boxes for Good, knows firsthand how difficult it can be to choose between paying bills and buying gifts for your child. After experiencing financial hardship when her own son was born, she decided to become the person she needed during those difficult times.

Her nonprofit now provides families across Miami-Dade County with an entire birthday party in a box! Each $35 box includes baking supplies, decorations and a gift, giving parents everything they need to celebrate their child’s special day.

The organization works with local nonprofits, shelters and foster organizations to reach families in need.

And here’s where you can help! Birthday Boxes for Good is accepting donations of toys, birthday supplies and boxes. They’re also looking for volunteers to join their “Celebration Crew,” and students can even earn volunteer hours.
