Shawn Mendes is slaying it right now. From a number one album to having a week-long residency on the Late Late Show with James Corden, he's riding high!
And during his Late Late Show appearance, he also got his Carpool Karaoke on.

Just after opening the bit with a fist-bumping singalong to his hit "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back," the 19-year-old dished on his life updates since recently moving out of his parents' house into his own Toronto digs.

"I have my own place finally, which at first sucked because cooking for yourself and cleaning your house -- it just sucks, until it's actually kind of nice," Mendes explained. "There's something kind of nice about it."

However, host Corden was quick to sniff out the BS. "You don't clean your own house," he quipped back in disbelief, before finally urging Mendes to reveal his mom can't resist helping him out with various household chores, including laundry.

"You know Justin Bieber just wears a new pair of underpants every day," Corden enlightened the singer, who seemed intrigued by the "genius" idea. "I think he then sells them online...it's a complete 360. Everybody's happy."

"I'd buy them," Mendes, a known fan of his fellow Canadian heartthrob, admitted matter-of-factly. "I'd probably cap it at, like, $500. Which is still a lot of money."

Mendes' hefty proposed price tag evidently struck an idea with Corden, who then inquired: "How much would you pay for a pair of my underpants?"

"I wouldn't," Mendes hilariously answered. "I'd pay not to have a pair of your underpants. I would pay for them to be as far away from me as possible. Over $500.”
