Miami: the land of sunshine and big booty. But what happens when you combine that with alcohol and a charity run? Well... then you get Cupid's Undie Run! DJ Laz has done quite a few charity events in his career, alot of them being with Radio Lollipop, but this week he learned about NF - Neurofibromatosis. It is a genetic disease characterized by skin abnormalities and nervous system tumors. So when he heard about NF, he knew he needed to take some action.
Cupid's Undie Run in Miami is a 1-mile (ish) charity event, in which people dress in underwear, drink alcohol and all to help the Children's Tumour Foundation. This morning we brought into the DJLMS studio, Mayor Bill, whose daughter has been diagnosed with NF in 2002. Since then he's been fighting and working effortless to find a cure for what has already caused his daughter to have tumors throughout her body... causing many heartbreaking effects.
1 in 3,000 births result in NF. If that isn't enough to want to get on your cutest underwear and running shoes... then I don't know what you're waiting for.
Since they are both competitive at heart, DJ Laz and Kimmy B have decided to create two seperate teams for the Cupid's Undie Run, which takes places in Wynwood on Februrary 13th, and they want you to join the cause!
