Ahead of its release, the Pennsylvania-born singer gave fans a little surprise to celebrate her new life soundtrack: “The Official Release Party of a Showgirl”. The movie was only in theaters from Oct. 3-5.

“Looks like it’s time to brush off that Eras Tour outfit or orange cardigan…” Swift shared in the caption of her Instagram post announcing the release party. “Tickets are on sale now. Dancing is optional but very much encouraged.”

The film hit the big screens as fans flocked to theaters. Lyric videos came to life as fans buzzed with excitement. The movie gave listeners a glimpse behind each song and featured the world premiere of the music video for the opening track “The Fate of Ophelia”.

Swifties have taken to different social media platforms to share their time at the official release party. Videos showcasing theater rooms filled with fans dancing and singing along to the songs they have now made their own have gone viral.

Despite the film no longer being in theaters, Swifties are not slowing down. Fans are recreating Swift’s dance choreography from “The Fate of Ophelia” music video and making some of their favorite lyrics their very own.
