‘24′ actor Gregory Itzin dies at 74

Gregory Itzin, known for his roles on “24″ and “Star Trek,” has died.

He was 74.

Itzin’s manager, Lisa Gallant, confirmed that the actor died from complications after emergency surgery, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Itzin’s son also posted on Instagram about his father’s death.

Itzin had past health problems, including when he had a heart attack on stage while appearing as Falstaff in 2015.

Itzin portrayed Charles Logan on the Fox television series “24,” a role that garnered him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor, TMZ reported.

He also was on several “Star Trek” series, playing a variety of characters on “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,” “Star Trek: Voyager” and “Star Trek: Enterprise.”

Itzin was born in Washington, D.C. in 1948 and trained at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Itzin leaves behind a wife and two children, TMZ reported. He also leaves behind a grandson, his son said on Instagram.
