The FBI is looking for new information that could lead to the arrest of a man they say killed his girlfriend 40 years ago.

The FBI said Andrew Peter Dabbs was indicted for the shooting of Robin Shea as they drove through Norton, Massachusetts on Oct. 10, 1981, Boston25News reported.

Agents said Dabbs shot his girlfriend in the chest with a .45 caliber revolver before pushing her body out of the car onto the side of Route 123.

Her body was found by a passing motorist.

A warrant was issued for Dabbs’ arrest but he was never found.

The FBI has issued a wanted poster, including an aged-progressed photo, of what they think Dabbs looks like now at the age of 78.

Shea’s family realizes he may never be arrested.

“The reality is that this is really unfinished. It’s unfinished in the sense that I’m talking about it and he’s out there somewhere. Maybe he’s dead, and if he is, I would love to know that. I would love to know more of that detail. And if he isn’t dead, if he’s alive, he needs to pay for what he did,” Shea’s sister Joyce Carter said, according to Boston25News.
