Remember that Dwyane Wade statue outside the Kaseya Center that went viral for looking NOTHING like Dwyane Wade? Well, two years later, it’s finally getting a makeover!

The Miami HEAT originally unveiled the 8-foot bronze statue in 2024 to honor Wade’s iconic 2009 game-winning shot against the Chicago Bulls, when he jumped onto the scorer’s table and shouted, “This is my house!”

Unfortunately, fans were quick to point out that the statue’s face didn’t exactly resemble the Miami legend, sparking countless jokes and memes online.

Wade laughed off the criticism at the time, but apparently the backlash was loud enough that the HEAT decided to make a change. The team has reportedly commissioned a brand-new head for the statue in hopes of giving Wade a more recognizable look.

Hopefully, this time fans won’t have to ask who the statue is supposed to be!
