If you’re taking supplements to help you relax, you might want to double-check what’s sitting in your medicine cabinet!

Whole Foods has issued a recall for certain bottles of its 365 Ashwagandha Capsules sold across the country, including right here in Florida.

Now, if you’re unfamiliar with ashwagandha, it’s an herbal supplement that’s become pretty popular for managing stress and getting better sleep.

Well, turns out one batch may be contaminated with salmonella, a bacteria that can cause food poisoning, with symptoms like stomach cramps, diarrhea and fever.

Here’s how to check if your bottle is affected:

  • Product: 365 Whole Foods Market Ashwagandha Capsules, 120 count
  • Lot number: 2025-26227
  • Expiration date: October 13, 2028

The good news? No illnesses have been reported so far.

If you have one of the affected bottles, stop taking it, throw away the capsules and visit Whole Foods for a refund.

And before you panic, this doesn’t affect every ashwagandha supplement, just that particular batch.
