American Idol is about ready to wrap their first season of it’s reboot and while it is doing “OKAY” in the ratings... it still hasn’t hit the point where it was during it’s prime.

But it’s shining light? Katy Perry! She’s getting PAID for her gig as one the show’s three judges, and while Ryan Seacrest is back... some are claiming the ratings decline is because they don’t necessarily approve of him after his ME TOO situation.

Earlier this year, Ryan Seacrest was caught up in the ME TOO movement after one of his ex stylists claimed he sexually harassed and abused her for SEVEN years… the claims were debunked, thrown to the side and ABC still kept Ryan on for the reboot of American Idol.

But it seems like there might be something else there… because this week Ryan pulled something so bold, so stupid… and so incredibly UN-professional during a live show!

In the clip below, it appears Seacrest has no idea the cameras are rolling as he tells Katy her mom is pretty.

"My mom?!," the pop star responds. "Well, I hope the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." She handled that amazingly well.

Then Seacrest adds, "you are, too... you wanna talk about it?"

I'm repulsed.
