Meet Michele Alamo...

Math and Science Coach/5th& 6thGrade Math and Science Teacher

Michele Alamo is currently the Math and Science Coach at The Theodore R. and Thelma A. Gibson Charter School in Miami, FL. She also teaches 5thand 6thgrade Math and Science and has been teaching in inner city schools for 8 years. Michele holds a Professional Certificate in Elementary Education with an ESOL Endorsement. She also holds a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Elementary Education from Florida International University and is currently working towards her Master's of Science in Education majoring in Educational Leadership and Administration.

Michele helped lead Gibson Charter School from an F to a B in the 2017-2018 school year. She raised fifth grade Science FCAT scores from 9% proficiency up to 50% in just one year alone, not to mention her implementation of a school wide Science initiative to promote a more hands on learning environment. Her professional career also consists of providing extensive science curriculum support to other Academica managed schools. Ms. Alamo is a Highly Qualified Teacher in Miami-Dade County and continues to put forth all efforts into helping her school attain the “A” grade.
