Facebook and Instagram have banned the use of 'sexual emojis' including the eggplant, peach, and water drips.

The new guidelines say that the taboo emojis cannot be used to depict sexual activity and nude body parts can't be covered up with the symbols.

Since the new rules dropped, both sites are taking heat for being concerned about the hidden meanings of emojis rather than the propaganda or fake news on their sites.

The emojis can still be used in captions, but not in a manner that suggests anything sexual.

Anyone who uses one of the 'sexual' emojis could find their post removed, or their account could be deactivated.
