If you’ve ever paid a cleaning fee at an Airbnb and then spent your last morning doing chores, there’s some good news!

Airbnb is cracking down on hosts who expect guests to practically clean the entire house before checking out.

Starting November 20, new guidelines will prohibit hosts from requiring time-consuming cleaning tasks like stripping beds, washing and putting away dishes, or taking trash off the property.

The company says hosts can only request reasonable cleaning duties from guests.

The changes come after years of complaints from travelers who were frustrated about paying hefty cleaning fees while still being handed a chore list.

Travel experts say some guests have even started choosing hotels again because of the extra work and fees associated with Airbnb rentals.

Some hosts argue that basic cleanup should be common courtesy, but Airbnb is drawing a clearer line between being a respectful guest and doing the cleaning crew’s job.

So next time you’re checking out of an Airbnb, you can leave the housekeeping to the people you’re already paying for it!
