And the problems at Bucky Dent Water Park are now affecting every public pool in Hialeah.
After state inspectors found 34 violations at Bucky Dent, the City of Hialeah is temporarily closing its three other public pools: McDonald Pool, Milander Pool and Babcock Pool.
And some of those violations were pretty serious. Inspectors found one pool with no chlorine, another with a pH level above the state limit, broken safety equipment and a drain cover with missing screws that posed an entrapment risk. The state also determined Bucky Dent was operating without a valid permit.
Now the city says it’s reviewing all of its aquatic facilities before reopening them.
So if a Hialeah pool was part of your plan to escape this Miami heat… parece que we’re gonna have to find another way to keep our cool.
