Fall is coming, but pumpkin spice might have to share the spotlight this year because banana flavor is creeping into EVERYTHING. Dunkin’ is rolling out banana lattes, foams and refreshers, while M&M’s has Banana Nut Bread candies, Little Debbie has Banana Puddin’ Creme Pies and Califia Farms has a new Banana Crème Almond Creamer. As someone who loves pretty much anything banana flavored, I fully support our new banana overlords.
Janet Jackson Is Filming a Concert Movie in South Florida
Janet Jackson is celebrating 40 years of her iconic “Control” album with a new concert movie, “Janet Jackson: Control 40 — The Airtab Music Movie.” The concert is set to be filmed live December 12 at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise and will celebrate “Control” along with Janet’s entire catalog of hits. And just so everyone has plenty of notice, my birthday is August 28. Who’s gifting me a pair of tickets?
A Barbie Sequel Could Come Down to Money
We may have to wait a little longer for another trip to Barbie Land because money could reportedly be a major hurdle for a “Barbie” sequel. Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling reportedly earned $12.5 million each for the first movie, with Gosling now reportedly seeking $20 million to return, while both stars are also said to be interested in backend compensation. With Mattel’s rights situation reportedly adding a ticking clock to negotiations, Barbie’s next adventure may depend on whether everyone can agree on a LOT of pink money.
Ozzy Osbourne Is Coming to Halloween Horror Nights
Halloween Horror Nights is getting even darker with an “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness” haunted house joining the party beginning September 3. The house will be packed with Ozzy’s music and imagery inspired by the Prince of Darkness himself, which basically sounds like you’re walking directly into an Ozzy music video. And considering Ozzy’s career, we’re guessing they didn’t have to work very hard to make this one scary.
