From Mr. 305 to Mr. Worldwide, Pitbull has quite the story to tell! And during Billboard Latin Music Week, the Cuban-American superstar took a trip down memory lane with Billboard’s Leila Cobo for a special Chart History Live Q&A.
The two revisited his biggest hits, including “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho),” “Give Me Everything” with Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer, “Timber” with Kesha, “Feel This Moment” with Christina Aguilera, and his collaboration with Bon Jovi, “Now or Never.”
Pitbull also gave Lil Jon his flowers, reflecting on their early days working together and how touring with him gave Mr. Worldwide the opportunity to grow as an artist. And years later, they’re still sharing the stage!
But it wasn’t just about the music! Pitbull also shared stories about working with rock legends KISS and Bon Jovi on his album PITCOIN.
And speaking of collaborations, Mr. Worldwide had a rather spicy confession about Jennifer Lopez! While discussing their hit “On the Floor,” he admitted that JLo got him a little too excited during their performance at the 2011 American Music Awards. And it only took him 15 years to tell us about it!
Pitbull also had a few surprises up his sleeve, including plans for a deluxe edition of PITCOIN with additional songs and a world tour in 2028.
From the stories behind his biggest hits to what’s coming next, there was plenty to talk about!
