Well, that didn’t last long.

I literally just wrote about Bucky Dent Water Park reopening in Hialeah after being closed for seven years, and now, just days later, it’s closed again.

The water park officially reopened July 31 after years of renovations, but the Florida Department of Health has temporarily shut down its three swimming pool facilities because the city is still waiting on a required operating permit.

The City of Hialeah says they’re working with the health department to get the issue resolved as quickly as possible. For now, there’s no confirmed date for when the pools will reopen.

The timing is especially rough because admission was supposed to be free through August 12.

So if you were planning on taking advantage of that free pool day, you may want to hold off for now. I’ll keep you posted when we get an update.
